A MESSAGE FROM THE RAA PRESIDENT
The RAA Board has dramatically demonstrated its leadership and significance as an organization dedicated to the Institute’s future – with financial support of important campus projects, a concern for and dedication to today’s students and campus life, and a commitment to improving and adding value to the alumni network. They are the “voice” of Rensselaer’s nearly 100,000 alumni worldwide.
The RAA Board of Trustees consists of approximately 30 caring and involved student and alumni members who represent alumni interests to the Institute. They work closely with the Office of Alumni Relations in developing and implementing programs that are of interest and value to alumni, including networking, social, educational, and student-centered activities.
Join us in our important partnership with our alma mater! The nominations committee is accepting nominations through February 1, 2018, for the upcoming RAA Board of Trustees year. Nominate yourself, or a fellow alumnus or alumna! If you are interested or have questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org, (518) 276-6205, or nominate online at alumni.rpi.edu/raaboardnominations.

Message from Vice President for
Institute Advancement Graig R. Eastin
I am pleased to serve as Interim Executive Director of the Rensselaer Alumni Association at this exciting time in the history of Rensselaer, and to announce the appointment of Michael Bivens as Operations Manager of the Rensselaer Alumni Association and the Office of Alumni Relations. We are currently recruiting for all open positions in the Office of Alumni Relations.
We congratulate Kaitlyn Lounsbury ’ 15, ’15G on her promotion to Advancement Officer, Alumni Relations and Regional Programs, and Jeff Schanz and Geoff Seber on their new opportunities in the Capital District. We would also like to recognize and thank Peter Pedone for his 30 years of service to the Institute. He will be retiring on December 1, 2017.
Over the past 18 years, under the visionary leadership our 18th president, Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson, Rensselaer has been dramatically transformed. Today, demand for a Rensselaer education has never been higher. Michael and I look forward to working closely with the Rensselaer Alumni Association, and our more than 100,000 alumni and alumnae worldwide, to create opportunities to further strengthen the bonds between each other, and to deepen our connections with Rensselaer.
