A chowder-making competition among Greek houses for the The Judge's Choice Award and The People's Choice Award.
Greek ChowderFest is a free event during Reunion & Homecoming Weekend (Oct. 4 – 6, 2013) for all Greek alumni and students. The event is a chowder making competition between different Greek organizations for the top prizes of
The People’s Choice
&
The Judges Choice
Greek Organization bragging rights and a $300 prize will be given for each category.
Greek ChowderFest is sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations, the Rensselaer Alumni Association (RAA) & Alumni Inter-Greek Council (AIGC), Panhel and the IFC.

Over 300 Greek alumni and students attended Greek ChowderFest during Reunion & Homecoming 2011. Thank you to all who attended. A special thanks to RSE for hosting the event at their house.

Greek ChowderFest Winners
Fraternities and Sororities were asked to participate in a competition to make the best chowder. The following organizations participated in the chowder makeing competition:
Alpha Chi Rho - AXP Chowda,
Alpha Gamma Delta - Alpha Gam-This Ain't No Clam-Chowder,
Alpha Phi - Alpha Phi’s Red Hot Corn Chowder,
Greek Spectrum - A Brave New Chowder, Lambda Chi Alpha,
Pi Beta Phi - Pi Phi Surprise,
Pi Kappa Alpha - New England-Japanese Fusion,
Sigma Chi - Smoky Clam Chowder,
Thank you to them for their participation. All the chowders were excellent, but the following were selected as the winners for 2010:
The Rensselaer Alumni Association, the Office of Alumni Relations, the Alumni Inter-Greek Council, the IFC, and Panhell sponsored Greek ChowderFest as part of Reunion & Homecoming 2010.
The first Greek ChowderFest was held in 2007, and since then it has become a tradition during Reunion & Homecoming Weekend.
